Our Virginia-Carolinas shelling plant is located in Aulander, North Carolina, in the middle of agricultural Northeast
North Carolina. Although its current population is just over 1,200, Aulander was once considered a major city in this region
of North Carolina. Aulander grew as a commerce hub for the area, but the economy was driven then, as it is now, by agriculture.
The principle crops have always been peanuts, tobacco, and cotton.
