What We Do
Golden Peanut provides peanut farmers with a place to store and market their crops each year. Golden Peanut has approximately
50 buying points located around the Southeast, Southwest and Virginia / Carolina regions. Golden Peanut also operates peanut
shelling plants in 4 different states. Through our milling process, we remove peanut hulls and foreign material. We then grade,
sort and size the raw shelled peanuts for shipment to our customers.
Our Specialty Divisions
Our Specialty Products Division makes peanut flour, peanut oils and extract which are sold and shipped all over the world.
We are the largest producers of refined peanut oil in the US.
Our Hull and Fiber Division processes and markets peanut shells, for use as Ag chemical carriers, feed additives and even bio-fuel.
Our Customers
Our customers include peanut butter manufacturers, confectioners, and snack food companies.
Our History
Golden Peanut Company, LLC was founded in 1986 by the formation of a partnership between Columbian Peanut Company and Gold Kist Peanuts.
In 1989, Alimenta (USA), Inc. brought its assets into the partnership. Since that time, the assets of Dothan Oil Mill and Cargill Peanuts
have been acquired. Through these additions, Golden Peanut’s operations now include facilities in Argentina.
Today, the ownership of Golden Peanut Company, LLC is made of Archer Daniels Midland and Alimenta (USA), Inc.
More than 20 years later the Golden Peanut is still going strong and has had an impressive track record of success.
